Panettone is a classic Italian Christmas cake. Sweet bread studded with candied fruits, currants, and sultanas.
It’s common for Italians to serve after dinner on Christmas Day with sweet wine, still or sparkling, with an accompaniment of something rich and creamy whether it be tiramisu or a cappuccino. We like ours with a cup of tea!
